And on to Alberta!
So after BC we jumped on a plane and flew to Edmonton to see more family! There Mary got to see her Auntie Diana, Uncle Dave and cousin Torin again plus meet his cousins Eva, Callum, Hamish, Kristen, her Auntie GG, Uncles Mike, Steve and Star as well as her Alberta Grandparents.
When we first arrived in Edmonton, we got to see the flipper house that some of my siblings bought and were working, then we got to go to the Legislature ( a place with incredible water fountains and wading pools - I used to go there when I was little). One night we had a yummy dinner at the grandparents house (then Ryan went with the boys to the flipper and I went with the girls for drinks - Mary stayed home and fell asleep on the floor - pictures are in Album 1) and then the next night we had dinner at Di and Dave's to have a Birthday party for Steve!
Then we took off to Grand Cache for the Canadian Death Race. The team consisted of Ryan, Craig, Star, GG and Armand. They ran the full 125 KM Relay in 18 hours. We were soo proud of them. It was an amazing run that went through various mountains in and around Grand Cache. Unfortunately I got a short of video of Ryan running right when the batteries died but I did not get any pictures of him running!
While the running was not happening, we got to go hiking (which was incredible), playing in the camp sites, playing on the beach and hanging out around the cute little town of Grand Cache.
The drives to and from Grand Cache were a bit long for Mary but we had some great stops where we got to look around!
The two weeks we were away were so wonderful. We loved having all that time with family and to show off our little Mary.
