Day 2 Barcelona
Hey Y'all,
We woke up this morning at about 9:30 (3:30am in Ottawa) strangely refreshed and possibly on Spain time already. Feeling good, looking great going to check out the town.
We had a nice European style breakfast (buffet with cured meats, smoked salmon and other neat stuffs) and went on our way out on the town. We wandered around until we found the supermarket where we bought some yoghurt, some cookies and some batteries.
Then it was back to the hotel where Ken and I finished editing todays story for the news back in Ottawa. Katie and Mary went on a little journey of there own down to the fresh fruit market and had their own fun. They bought some strawberries and some apples and then came back to the hotel. I am sure Kate will put up her own blog entry and tell about the trip and people pinching Mary's cheeks and stuff.
Ken and I finished our editing and it was already about 6:15 pm. Kate and Mary had another journey waiting for us to finish and when it was all done we all went to the team pre-race dinner. Ken spoke at the dinner and did a fantastic job and then it was off to the fountains again. I think it is very cool that just outside our hotel front door is the Catalunyan National Art Museum with crazy water fountains...I think I wrote about them last night but tonight I have pictures and video. (That is if I can getthem to load on the darn site).
After the dancing fountains it was back to the hotel where we are now, to play with May-boo and hopefully go to sleep sometime soon so I can be ready to run tomorrow.
We are having a great time even if I am working.
